Disk and Computer Data Recovery - Prepare Yourself for the Unexpected

Your computer and disk data is of utmost importance. You never expect to lose your business data on a fateful day. Before it happens, be sure to take some precautions.

Always notice the flash light of your hard drive and check for logical system failures and electrostatic discharges. You can fix these problems by just setting the cables correctly and a complete scandisk plus defragmentation. Also check the BIOS. Does it recognize the hard drive? This will fix most of the disk problems so that your can recover your data and don't have to ask a disk data recovery expert.

Besides the machine malfunction, human errors like accidental deletion of data and/or infection by malicious viruses can also cause data loss. Human errors count for 25% of data loss and hardware failure count for 44%.

At the most critical conditions data can be recovered, it's just a click away, because most of the time data is never completely lost, but misplaced.

Secure data recovery - few points

1. Check the disk and drives when you hear a grinding noise from the system.

2. Shut down your system immediately after hard drive crash. Because running data recovery software might further damage the disk.

3. Check whether there is physical damage to the drives, a logical failure, or an electrostatic discharge.

4. Check if the disk/drive is recognized by system BIOS.

5. Logical errors can be corrected by drive utility freeware or the system utility of the operating system.

6. In case of physical damage check the spindle motor. Most problems occur with this.

7. A different form of physical damage can be electronic failure of the head.

Drive data recovery is not a super science. Right knowledge and proper tools will help you recover most of the data. In the case of logical failures you can use the help of a drive utility. You should be cautious before using data recovery software. Double check the file system and authenticity of the disk recovery software, its versions and range of data recovery in under various file systems.

But in grave physical damages, if your data is very important and you are a novice, you should never take a chance. Call the data recovery experts like ServerPlex Onsite.
